Hi Nicnac,

Why not you just put on waiting list for other time slot for mindstretcher toolbox which is very good. I sent mine there and he gets very good results for his school compo exams.

Can't make it for the other two time slots  that they have.

how about other branch. There's 1 centre in Katong. I remember seeing it next to escalator
It is the one at Katong.

Is mindstretcher losing its market share? When dd was younger, i heard it was so difficult to get a slot at MS... But when I enquired earlier, a few of the classes on the schedule had to be closed due to insufficient students.

        phtthp:
If a P6 student take up all 3 Foundational subjects (English, Maths, Science) at Psle & at the same time got exempted from Mother Tongue, approved by MOE -

does it mean this child zero chance to enter Sec 1 Express stream at all, can get streamed to Normal Technical, automatically ?
Not likely to be streamed into the Express.

The child may have a chance to be streamed into NA...perhaps at the lower end of the stream. Still good to check with school.

it’s difficult to go into express if taking foundation subjects…when i suggested my daughter take 1 foundation science and 2 standard (MT exempted), her teacher explained to me that foundation being easier and carries less weight compared to standard, it will be very hard to go into express in sec 1.

It's 1 month before the new school term begins...PSLE 😓

Bought daughter's books online but collection can only be done in 2 weeks time.

When I think of 2016, I am starting to :nailbite: having 2 kids facing major exams.

Must be all band 1 for these 3 other subjects. I have seen a boy having 203 for all foundation subjects. But like very rare. Most qualify for NA.

teacher explained to me that even if band 1 for foundation subjects, the grades are still lower than standard in terms of difficulty level of the exam.

Definitely lower in standard than standard subjects. However, it’s possible that foundation students qualify for express. The worry is not whether the students can qualify for express. But rather, are they able to cope when they get to sec school, considering they have missed out considerably what has been covered in P5 and p6 standard subjects. Really need parents who have seen their child gone through it, to share their experience.

it's still possible to qualify for express, but like you mentioned it's the bulk missed out if taking foundation science when they go to the express stream. this holiday, i'm working on her MCQ.
