It's 1 month before the new school term begins...PSLE 😓

Bought daughter's books online but collection can only be done in 2 weeks time.

When I think of 2016, I am starting to :nailbite: having 2 kids facing major exams.
Janet88, I dread to think of it as well. DS is still in Lalaland, sigh really a case of 皇帝不急,太监急 (Simple translation for the benefit of some: Eunuch is more anxious than the Emperor for state matters)。 Anyway, let's us all have confidence in our little ones and support them along the way!

this holiday, we have been doing daily work...because when school reopens, i would have to shelve the books aside. tuition will stop just before christmas week.

Hi all, understand that many of you are worried for your child's PSLE. For math, you just have to do more practices and attempt more past year papers as well as consult more textbooks/workbooks. The method was or me was to resort to the solutions in the workbooks, and refer to the bar model solutions if i am unclear. I believe this will benefit the PSLE-takers greatly. I took my PSLE in 2011, and was very worried for the math paper. In my honest opinion, Aden Gan's \"Upper Primary Math Models Methods, Techniques and Strategies\" works best. It is a textbook and workbook in one. Very detailed and simple to understand. Hard to find in popular nowadays. I still have the book now. Selling on carousell, $10. Have a nice day. :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

i wrapped the math textbooks…fortunately i did, or would have not known the first topic is Fractions. Algebra is in topic 2.

tutor started on algebra before she went on leave, so we continued with it.

One of my friend’s son is almost completing 2015 CA1 Primary 6 exam papers from top schools. He purchased the papers in Nov 2015. When school reopens, the child can focus only on SA1 exam papers for Term 1. In term 2, can focus on the remaining exam papers (prelims and CA2) till end of Aug 2016. In middle Sep 2016 will buy 2016 prelim top school exam papers to practise before the real PSLE in Oct 2016. This boy is smart but very lazy. Luckily he has a goal to go Hwa Chong so that is why he is so hardworking this school holiday. As long as the child wakes up in time, it is still not too late to rush for the final lap in P6. A lazy but smart pupil can move faster if he is self-motivated too.

This boy sat down to discuss with parents about planning for his future and realised his PSLE score determines where he goes for secondary schools.
