You are one cool parent! Don't you want to know the programmes or what will happen in school? As far as I remember, there was no official matter that required the presence of the parents but just about every parent would turn up to see that their girls settled well. The girls will need to sit in their classes I think and teachers will ask for their student ezlink card to match with the register.

I only remember the principal giving a talk about the school and the various heads speaking about the programmes and what the girls would be doing for their first year. It will be good to go. Your girl might feel lonesome to see everybody else with their parents while she cuts a lonely figure there. Go! Go! Go!

I understand the school bookshop is run by Popular.

Do we get discount on textbooks and stationery if we are Popular member?

Our Sec 2 booklist says that the price stated in the textbook list is already discounted price, so no further member discount if u buy from school bookshop. Probably the same for the Sec 1. (I bought a Eng literature bk from a Popular bookshop near my place, it is priced at $16.90 vs school's booklist price of $16 )

For all other stuff (not in booklist) that your dd want to get from the school bookshop, then yes - can get member discount if you produce the member card.
