Hi all, not too sure if the Y1 2016 have tried to log in to their student school email in mail.google…We have tried ours & it seems the userid or password is wrong. The student & parents inet portal is working fine though. Anyone have the same issue? Will need to contact the sch for advise i guess… Thank you…

RGS COP this year is 260. I hope RGS will continue to find its grove in attracting top girls to the school.this year's COP back to 262.... had anticipated it, from the 3rd lang 252 Cutoff, it's an indicator that this year all IP schs COP will go up 3-5 points... many using 2014 batch's COP will be greatly disappointed... they should have got the hint (indicator) from the the 3rd lang cutoff..
Congras & welcome to the Rafflesian family... :congrats:
I went to the parent meeting on 23 Dec. It was full house.
I hope the school will continue to innovative and become leader in the grooming of the girls to be the leader of next generation.
My girl likes RGS, I hope she is going to good time here in the next 4 years. -

Hi! It's advisable to buy every book under the subjects that you're taking. As for Art materials, it's up to you whether to buy or not, but most (or all) of the materials will come in helpful for Y1 and Y2. Hope this helped!678Yess:
Thanks for the information!I bought everything, for convenience.

RGS iNet is an more important platform for parents and students. Teachers and admin staff will post information about school events, assessment, worksheets and lesson package on iNet. -

hi Honeyfirebird...many thanks for the verification..Honeyfirebird:
Hi it's highly recommended to use Mac although I do see one or two people using other models. There is a basic training course for everyone so don't worry! Most people are using Mac for the first time and the functions are really easy to learn.
Also rolling up of sleeves is a school tradition that goes way back so it's compulsory... It takes only a few seconds and also since we're the only school that has this tradition it kind of marks us as RGS.
hope this helped!
any idea if the syllabus in RGS the same as in RI? guess u guys taking the same Raffles Diploma ya? we keeping some notes from my DS to share with my DD & guide her along the way...
The Syllabus in RGS and RI are very similar (especially in Y3 and Y4), though not exactly the same (esp in Y1 and Y2). Your DD will find the notes from RI very helpful. -
Hi can anyone tell me if there is wifi available to the girls in school?
-
Yeah mummyboo there is for sure

BTW for parents who can't log in into the email account, please not that you should change your password on the int account. Your gmail account password will then be the new password you have set for both your int and your gmail account. My account is working now.
Hope this helps -

There's wifi but only for the computers! Phones can't connect and it's quite inconvenient T.T -

My daughter just completed Yr4. Although kids who are used to being on their phones a lot may need to adjust, because their computers are connected, and most people they need to contact are within reasonable reach and can be contacted by other means, the girls will get used to it. My daughter has no data plan but still coped OK.mummyboo:
