In fact, if more people were willing to shed their prejuduices and appreciate his vocals alone and not wat he represent, I think he wld have won more votes and fans. It's not your fault Muffin, you are at the receiving end of such information, you just need to apply discretion. Young people today find all ways to stay in the limelight, look at the boomz girl, a good example and all the nude photos kids are willing to put on Internet shamelessly, plus all the willing tender grasses. Same for homosexuality. If you mix with the wrong company, it may become something cool eventually if you don't insist in your mind that it is truly unnatural, not to mention illegal. -

I have no idea how well known he is because I am not into his songs but I do agree that if he has good vocals, just focus on his talent. However because he is a celebrity he will have fans who idolize him and if without discernment, he can have influence on the young fans. He has to manage that responsibly and if he can, I can respect him for his singing talent still. -
It is interesting to note that Muffins see him famous because of homosexuality, now I wonder how many youngsters receive the same kind of messaging like Muffin. Isn’t that alarming? Can we expect teens with lesser experiences in life to understand things in perspective like cluelessmom? You decide for yourself.

I was never into American Idol until the day I caught Adam Lambert's Mad World performance on AI and I was totally blown away by his haunting vocals. He won over many fans with tat rendition all over the world and had expected him to win the AI. When he lost AI to Kris Allen, many felt tat it was becuz of his sexual orientation and blasted the Americans for being \"homophobic\".....

I think he is just an ordinary man who has been passionate abt singing since he was a kid... If he has any agenda at all, I think it wld be for people to accept him and focus on his amazing vocals and not to deliberately influence people to be like him or adopt his sexual orientation. Frankly, I too was a'lil disappointed to find out tat he is really nt a heterosexual guy :lol: ....... -

No no no! Don't get the wrong impression! I don't think he is famous because of his gender preferences! :yikes: :faint: I liked him for his singing from the start. I'm just saying that more people are buying his albums because of this situation of his being more inclined to men.... -

Muffins, though I think my son (15 years old) may want to have Adam's vocal but I don't think he will want to 'imitate' his homosexuality. You think you will be influenced by him and change your sexual orientation by the most remote chance or you have friends whom you think like him and may imitate him in this area? I most definitely won't change my gender preferences because of one of the singers I like.... Imagine all the people who like Britney Spears if that happens..... None of my friends have changed themselves to be like Adam Lambert aside of trying to sound like him when he sings. (Actually I think I am the only person in the group of my friends who likes Adam Lambert... :yikes:)
