Hi venus
Yes, My kids do read ys
I think it is quite a good magazine. some common info/outside classroom's topic are in that magazine.
Reader Digest/National Geographic/newspaper, I am trying out on my P5 girl.
Is suppose to be good for \"comprehension cloze\" but i not sure how \"good\" is it haha...
My p5 girl dun like tuition too but still ok to let me guide her.
Hopefully her result can maintain this yr , if not after SA1 shld start to source for tutor ..
All the best to P5 kids ! Good start of year! -
Hi all,
Happy New Year! A new school term has started! May all our kids enjoy school and new challenges!
1. Just want to quickly check, my daughter is in HMT. Does anyone know if we still need to buy assessment or past year papers for normal MT? Or focus only on HMT?
2. May I know which secondary schools will she be able to opt for given that she has extra points for HMT?
Thanks a lot!!! -

Hi,
My son’s school is organising an overseas learning journey to Brunei this year. Not really sure should let him go or not. A bit worried about safety issues but he’s quite keen to go. Anyone else going on overseas learning journey? -

After today's bombing incident, I think the security situation is quite tense. If it is not necessary to make the trip, you may wish to re-consider.Hi,

Me and my DH were traumatized by the unfortunate event in Mt. Sabah Kinabalu last year! Already told my kids, no overseas trip. -
Thanks lee_yl and janet88. You are right. We also don’t really feel comfortable letting him go for the trip. Better not go than keep worrying.

Am analysing my son’s time table.
There is a total of 55 periods (of 30 mins each) per week from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm. I will discount the first period as I doubt the teachers can commence lesson at 7.30 am sharp when the morning assembly starts at 7.25 am.
The distribution of 55 periods is as follows:
English - 12 periods
Chinese - 12 periods
Maths - 10 periods
Science - 6 periods
PE - 3 periods
Mass exercise - 2 periods
Civil and Moral Education - 3 periods
Social Studies - 2 periods
NANO - 2 periods
Music - 1 period
Art - 2 periods
Total - 55 periods
Are MOE and the school sending a message that Science is not important since it has half of the time as compared to EL and CL?
