Week 2 is almost over.. Where has all the time gone?

EL and CL spellings started this week. Homework, manageable though, to complete... Time just flies 😓

Can start counting down to CA1 already :nailbite:
At this rate, how to survive till PSLE in August?? Stay calm and save your energy for the big one 🙂

ONLY week 2, but seemed to have lost track of time...homework everyday for math, science and english. english spelling list just out but no mention which day. for math, i see some difficulty in the questions...on par with tutor's intermediate level. i've asked tutors to reduce homework on their side as time is very tight everyday. now, it's not just money flying but time as well.

i have to stay calm and try to keep my sanity.

Same here. My DS has quite a bit of homework this week and CL teacher giving ‘ting xie’ ‘mo xie’ twice a week! How to remember? I think my son will learn but forget the next week. He didn’t even want to learn his Chinese tuition ‘ting xie’.

Sigh! Don’t know whether he will be stressed out by SA1. I don’t dare to ask him to do any of my assessments bk.

It's quite pitiful the way schools push the kids...it's only week 2...how to sustain sanity with 9 months ahead...and it will only get worse when they start throwing in past year exam papers.
I've been sitting beside daughter when she does her school hw...to help her prioritize urgency of each piece of hw. my revision with her has to take a backseat. how to prepare for any test/exam at this rate? So I've decided to take her out of Friday's supplementary class.

I am a working mother. Even if I reached home on good days at 7pm+, DS will be sitting in front of the TV i.e. he has finished all his homework. Then by 930pm, he will be in bed. Since P1, he is independent in doing all his homework before I reached home, only asking me questions if he has difficulties. So it seems that his school has yet to "beef up" yet for PSLE? He is in the top class in a branded school so I am feeling a bit puzzled - unless his school is going slow first. Let’s see…

My DS is still watching TV when I get home around 8.30pm. Always tell me he has finished his homework. Will study for about an hour before going to bed by 10pm.

On days where he does not have anything in the afternoon, he will nap in the afternoon.

I feel a different kind of stress.

some schools will go intensive after CNY.

i remember my son’s teachers went on 4th gear after CNY holidays…which was a bit crazy because during the festive period, kids eat more heaty food, visiting relatives during the hot weather…many were unwell after 2 days of public holiday.

daughter told me her subject teachers have just placed order for the psle booklets.

Mine also. Spelling list for both Eng and Chinese out and the first mo xie was done and signed. Come back everyday with lots of homework. Health education period taken away and replaced. But so far still ok and manageable. Can feel the ‘heat’.

                    Jia You to all!

Sometimes I wonder if DS is taking PSLE this year :? I am stressed that DS is not stressed and his school is not stressing the PSLE batch yet.
