      Hi

Read that CCH did well for o level. Any idea what's the statistic?
% of 5'O' passes- 99.1% (everyone could qualify for poly)
Can't remember for JC but its definitely over 90%
      % of 5'O' Distinctions (A1/A2)- 54.8%
Out of all the 24 subjects students in the cohort took for the olevels, distinction rate of 17 of those subjects were above national average.

Anyone with kid from cchm sec 1? I remember there is a recommanded assessment book list inside the orientation file… together with the book list. Anyone still has the assessment book list?

Appreciate if you can send me a copy.

            Thanks!!

Any S1 parents are aware of the talent development classes this year? Maths, Science, Chinese and Music respectively.

My DD is Sec 3 this year. If I remember correctly during her Sec 1 Posting Registration, some of the students are already being \"identified\" based on the PSLE results for Maths, Science and Chinese individual subjects. They are only allowed to choose one subject and go through another selection test in Dec and they will be placed according to the subject talent development class if they qualified. Those who are keen for Music will go through audition provided the students met the minimum requirements like minimum Grade 3 in both practical and theory in ABRSM. Not sure this year S1 talent development classes are the same as last time. If you compare all S1 timetable, think 1BN, 1CR (Music talent development class based on the additional subject MuSP; but only a 10+ students in the class are in the Music talent development class), 1DL, 1EP and 1FG are all talent development classes.

                    Hi

I need to travel to CCH for my child’s Wushu competition next month. Please advise if I can walk to the school from Dakota MRT? How long is the walk? Thank you.

can I ask about the use of phones in cchm? and how's today's orientation? I was hoping that the school will allow pupils to make friends and know their classes etc but it ended up only being able to buy stuff & leave :lightrod:

Phones can only be used during free time such as recess or after school. Teachers will confiscate if caught using during curriculum time. However, some teachers are less strict and will only warn the student to keep his or her phone.
