MOE will deploy about 25,000 air purifiers to all primary and secondary schools in Singapore by July this year, says Acting Minister for Education Ng Chee Meng.

Was expecting something more inspirational from NCM...but lo and behold, he spoke about air purifiers.

Should take a leaf from the other Ag Ed Min OYK. Great maiden speech on Tues.

only in aircon room or all classroom?

It’s a waste of money if deployed in non-aircon classrooms and waste electricity too. hmm… anyway, the vendor that got the deal muz be laughing the way to the bank.

don't see the point of having air purifiers in classrooms with no aircon.
what's the point? if the haze psi hits hazardous levels, how will the air purifier help?

haha totally agreed; air purifiers will be quite useless in non-aircon classrooms :scratchhead:

Supposing the psi reaches hazardous level and air purifier is showing a dangerous 'red' alert, what can be done?

I guess we may still have to rely on our existing methods like N95 masks and gallons of herbal tea 😉
