Here are some educational apps that we recommend to parents who want to expose their children to fun, yet educational games on the iPad 🙂

Elevate - http://elevateapp.com/ - A brain training app that uses games/quizzes/puzzles to sharpen brainpower - This was recommended to us by a VP in Temasek Secondary School

          An alternative to Elevate
          Lumosity - https://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/lumosit ... 32024?mt=8 - Also a brain training app that uses games/quizzes/puzzles to sharpen brainpower

          Hope that helps!

Well is suggest that you let them play whatever games they want and limit their usage, rather than making them play educational games. I don’t think they would even bother with the educational games if you did that.

Last year I discovered My Talking Dog - Virtual Pet and the older kid loved it. Since then, we have been playing several different virtual pet games such as My Talking Elephant and My Talking Pinocchio.

The younger one started playing with us as well. My impression is that these games encourage empathy in children and sense of responsibility.

These games are developed by Peaksel and you can find them on the company website: http://www.peaksel.com
