Good morning Janet and All
Actually I think we can speak to the teachers if they give too much work too close to the exams. It really does cloud the mind when they are overstretched too close to the exams.
Before PSLE just revise, chill and try to avoid looking at anything (new sums, new notes) for the first time. That and continue to eat healthy, exercise and get lots of rest!
Wishing one and all a Happy Lunar New Year! May this Monkey Year be a successful one for our cute like Monkeys!

hi SpartanMum,
i wonder if the teachers are receptive when parents voice out about the increased amount of work given…not just near psle. -
Hi Janet
I think they should be receptive- in the few times I have to do it, I reassure them that I am monitoring my child’s progress on my end too. If you really feel she is overloaded, there is no harm in trying to initiate a discussion with the teacher(s).
The quality of teachers is so variable. My 2 DS has/had very "different" type of teachers in P6. But at the end of the day, all of them thankfully had my DS best interests at heart. Plus they could actually work out that I was on top of things happening in school. So they were receptive to what I had to say. So yes I think good to have a discussion with the teachers if you feel DD is over stretched. -

DS said the school Maths teacher has already asked the class to do 3 x paper 1 and 2 x paper 2.
Apart from tuition homework, I cannot bring myself to give him more...我不忍心再叫他做. :nailbite: -

then on your side, you have to keep up. very scary.
science teacher gave 2014 mcq for homework (own school).
for english, the marking is very strict...one missing alphabet for synthesis, the whole answer is considered wrong. daughter was hopping mad but it is good for her to know how strict psle marking is.
