      SpartanMum:
      Hi Janet

I think they should be receptive- in the few times I have to do it, I reassure them that I am monitoring my child's progress on my end too. If you really feel she is overloaded, there is no harm in trying to initiate a discussion with the teacher(s).
l certainly hope so. i face daughter everyday and monitoring her progress.

i am worried nearer PSLE, the school will start piling students with past year exam papers.

probably can start working on the past year exam papers earlier?

DS said the school Maths teacher has already asked the class to do 3 x paper 1 and 2 x paper 2.

Apart from tuition homework, I cannot bring myself to give him more...我不忍心再叫他做. :nailbite:

                :yikes: so much?
then on your side, you have to keep up. very scary.

science teacher gave 2014 mcq for homework (own school).
for english, the marking is very strict...one missing alphabet for synthesis, the whole answer is considered wrong. daughter was hopping mad but it is good for her to know how strict psle marking is.

                    Happy heart,

I like it when teachers are strict in their marking...always remind her to be careful and check her work but fall on deaf ears. So when she sees the entire answer wrong, she will learn to check :xedfingers:

So true, better kids learn now what NOT to do than learn when they see marks during exams.

sometimes parents remind and remind them to be careful...but when the kids see for themselves how strict the marking is even for daily homework, they will understand why we nag at them.
