Thanks Dreamgear & KidCat for sharing.

Yes, my DS is in Year 1. He finds the pace fast saying that the teachers just give out notes for the students to read beforehand, & at the next lessons the teachers just briefly mentioned the contents in the notes & proceeded to give out worksheets or online quizzes to be done.

He felt that there was not much class teachings. And before he knew it, one topic is already over.

Did your DS feel that way too?

(Anyway, I told him maybe in Secondary Sch, there is no more spoon-feeding. I also explained that going thro the contents of the notes will waste class time, since the students can read beforehand.)

No, my boys do not find the pace fast. Probably reading up on the pre-learning list and notes important. Any doubts, check with teachers or classmates.

The Level-2 boys are now on their way to Pulau Ubin for the Rugged Outdoor Adventure Camp..

Hope our boys will have a great time at the camp. Praying for good weather - no rain but not too hot (please). Sunburn during outdoor activities, especially kayaking, can be unbearably painful.. šŸ˜“

                  Thanks KidCat..

Saw DS' tent-group list (FT informed the class the day before the camp). 4-5 boys per tent. Yes, hope the boys had a good sleep last night. There's kayaking today, I think.. šŸ˜“

Thanks iFirefly. If it's for 4-5 students, then the tents look roomy enough!

For kayaking, wonder if the boys had to do the capsize drill

Tonight is campfire night and the weather is just perfect ! šŸ•ŗ

Hope the boys enjoy themselves :boogie: :boogie: :boogie:

< CHS Facebook : My 公教. Our Home.>

                      Hey 公教!

Today, we managed to have the rare experience of witnessing a solar eclipse, in which the sun was obscured by the moon for a total of 2 hours!

Experiencing such an event together truly brought out the spirit of curiosity within us as many of us united to witness the eclipse and to understand the scientific as well as historical significance behind it.

Special thanks to all the teachers who took time out of their lessons to view the eclipse with us as well!
