To see monkey in hot spring, you need to go to Nagano. Take train to Yudanaka from nagano station and take a bus or taxi to the snow monkey park. Then you can spend the night at Shibu Onsen! Check out my photos of the snow monkey here.

            Dear Japan travellers

I’m down to selecting Citadines shinjuku OR
            Citadines CENTRAL Shinjuku.
Please advise which is better in terms of going to shinkansen station. I’m booking 2 rooms for 2A & 2teenagers
            Thank you.

u mean u r going this Dec again? All these fare differentiations are subject to multiple factors mah...

                1. NRT/HND?
                2. KrisFlyer/PPS Club/Star Alliance... Got mileage?
                3. Fare types : Economy Saver,\tEconomy Flexi Saver,\tEconomy Flexi,\tPremium Economy??
                4. Fare conditions : Can change flexibly later, or must confirm now? Cxl got refund?
                5. Exact Dec period (if return is on Christmas Eve, maybe cheaper than on Christmas Day itself. Fares will jump if you pick Christmas Day)
                6. Departure/Arrival timings (Are you spending your entire precious day time sitting on the plane or taking a red-eye? Some timings cost more than others)

If all things being equal, like this HWZ fella had the same no. of travellers, and had picked all the cheaper variables, of course his fare would be lower than yours la. The diff could've been wider, if not for your 1 infant fare šŸ˜›

Can u scroll up to find my post on these 2 aparthotels?

You might want to pick another hotel in TOKYO, cos Shinkansen station is not in Shinjuku. You need to change line.

Shinkansen is in Tokyo and Shinagawa stations. Shinagawa is out cos it's in the outskirts. You should search by TOKYO station district on TA.

Shinjuku is connected to Tokyo stations via the popular green yamanote line.

When i was in Tokyo, i stayed in Ueno which i think has shinkansen but to N or NE of Japan
