If your dad's address is listed on the husband's NRIC, you can register as per normal. Otherwise, you have to get it registered.

You won't be able to use the new address, as MOE rule states:
\"For the 2015 Primary One (P1) Registration Exercise, the Delivery Possession Date must not be later than 31 December 2017.\"
Substitute 2015 with 2016, and 2017 with 2018 for the upcoming 2016 P1 Registration Exercise, it means your new address won't fit into the said criteria.

Also, distance is not measured in terms of meters. So it makes no difference if it's 100m or 900m as they are all considered under 1km. You should use onemap for the official classification.

We are considering which Sengkang primary school to enrol for our boy under 2C. We have the flexibility to relocate within 1km of the following schools: Rivervale, Compassvale, Anchor Green and Sengkang Green. The 4 schools were targeted based on reputation and balloting history.

Any advise which school is better?

                Appreciate your comments! Thanks!

                  they advise you that ...

the kind of advice i get via email is as good as not giving haiz ..

they simply cut and paste from their moe website ...

                    Hi Savannah00

If you refer to this link: https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/prima ... ion/phases
you will be able to see that different number of days are allocated for each phase. It is up to you, which day you wish to register on.

You can withdraw when it is confirmed that you have no chance to even ballot or if the chances of a successful ballot is very low (depends on your risk appetite heh).

Nan Chiau usually requires balloting for Singaporeans within 1km whether its phase 2B or 2C. If you are within 1km, yep you can give it a shot. If you are not within 1km, can consider other schools. You can refer to the balloting history to have a clearer idea: http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/seng-kang

                    Hi butterwaffles,
Thanks for your reply. I'm definitely less than 1km. Guess I should give it a shot? When will I know that there is no chance to ballot or chances of a successful ballot is low? Will there be time allowance to pull away and not use up my phase 2c at NanChiau?

Which is the next best Sch that parents go for around this area? Anchor Green?

                      Hello Parents,

Looking for schools for 2017 Registration for 2011 born child.

As Child is SPR and PV options are closed in Compassvale Primary :-(, left with only Phase 2C.
I stay within 1km radius from Sengkang Primary, Anchor Green, Compassvale and SpringDale.

Which would be the best school to opt for 2C?

Appreciate inputs from anyone with past experiences.

                      Thanks.

SPR: Sengkang Primary, Anchor Green, Springdale

These 3 schools should have vacancies even after the end of Phase 2C. That said, 2017 is a full year away and given the number of new flats / EC / Condo popping up all over Sengkang. I'll wait and see to ensure that demand doesn't spill over into these schools during Phase 2C.

For SPR, the school with no / minimal demand from SC is the school you should go for in Phase 2C.
