Booked our air tickets for Jan 2017. In Jan we should be dressed in winter clothing right?

Any hotel to recommend for Tokyo Central? Or any service apartment to recommend? Want to do some grocery shopping and cooking broccoli meal for my #1.

Try checking out keio plaza and citidines but all fully book for the dates i am looking at. I am not sure if its still early and they only accept booking closer to the date.

Or should i start to worry about sourcing for the perfect hotel for us? Or it has to do with my setting? Finding room for 2A 2C is like finding needle in ocean

2A 2C on our travel team. As my kids are quite young so want to take it slowly. Want to let my #1 take some train and the bullet train too. (His favourite transportation).

Still researching on places to go. We will be there for 10 days.

            Miyijima
            Yokohama (noodle musuem)
            Mother Farm
            Disneyland and Disneysea
            Fish Market
            Viewing of Mt Fuji

Hotel/ryokan must be clean and cosy. Suitable for kids.

Hotels for Jan 2017 is still quite far ahead, u can start to look around Aug/Sept 2016 as most of the hotels don`t open their reservations so early.... For 2 adults and 2 children, its quite hard to find accommodation unless u split up to 1 adult and 1 children in 1 room, but then again, there are also family rooms or feel free to look for airbnb (some law restrictions are ongoing)...

Which airport are u using for arrival and departure?

                  My suggested route for you

                  Tokyo
                  1) Disneyland n Disneysea
                  2) Mother Farm
                  3) Fish Market

                  Yokohama
                  1) Cup Noodle Museum

                  Hiroshima
                  1) Miyajima

                  Shizuoka
                  1) Mount Fuji

                  Also, look at sites like
                  http://www.japan-guide.com

My friend from HWZ, Samtcy has a good travel blog. I advise u to also take a look at her site

Unlikely to be fully booked so far out. Keio plaza is nice, has family room for 4 and is conveniently located near the train station. Good choice. I suspect it is because you entered 2A+2C. Why don't you email the hotel to check? If your kids are young, you may not need the family room and could do with a triple or even superior twin. Kids under 5 stay free here.

Thanks. Will check on the hotels again when nearer the date. Actually i prefer hotels so the room can be clean daily.

Not sure if disneyland will be crowded on 15/1? Want to go on that day. #2 birthday. If not will go on weekday instead

Disney is less crowded on weekdays. Weekends are very crowded.
You can email hotel now or when you are ready. My friend stays at Keio everytime she goes to Tokyo and she says the family room for 4 is very diff to get as there are very few. If you don't need such a big room, it'll be easier to get.

Miyajima is nice. Don't worry about the ryokans. Generally all very clean and very suitable for family because many can easily fit 4 to a room. We stayed at a rypkan with a seaview in Miyajima and could see the torii gate from our room.
