Hi,
Thanks. I was at SJI's Open House yesterday. Attended the talk and the IP track Q&A session. Managed to talk to a few students during the Open House. Managed to get answers to some of my queries. Thank you once again. Will keep in touch and PM you if some questions crops up. Thank you once again.
What is your opinion of the school and of the students you spoke with? Did they leave a good impression? Are you likely to choose the school?[/quote]
Although the school is at the holding site, generally I found that the IP boys are Ok. They carried themselves well. The 2 teachers I spoke to are Ok. They also responded promptly to my email enquiries on their SJI IP programme.
Yes, good impression...and yes, definitely will consider for my son to DSA for SJI IP. -

Hi, titank.
Just wanted to check with you (and/or your son). I was told by a friend that the SJI IP teachers, do teach more to the pupils as compared to some other IP schools. Is this correct? Thanks. -
Heard from my DS & even his classmate from the upper sec. Their chemistry teacher didn't really teach them.
Most of the time asking them to revise by themselves, whereas both of their bio & phy teacher have put in much effort in teaching them.
Moreover he is the HOD in Science :slapshead: -

Hhmm...I was just wondering why the Chem teacher adopted such a teaching method. Or is this the new way of teaching? Hhmm...I just cannot comprehend this. I heard that this is the IP way of teaching. Just wanted to know how true this is.Heard from my DS & even his classmate from the upper sec. Their chemistry teacher didn't really teach them.

Is it a one-off case? My DS is currently in Sec 3. He has been very blessed with very good Science teachers throughout the years so far in SJI.Heard from my DS & even his classmate from the upper sec. Their chemistry teacher didn't really teach them.

Maybe the HOD going to retire or simply adopt the easy method where since these kids come in with high PSLE T Score,HOD could switch off.Heard from my DS & even his classmate from the upper sec. Their chemistry teacher didn't really teach them.
