Thank you Floppy!!! Yes... We got no choice but to gamble with our luck... Just hope that everything will get by soon!
Yes, it's possible to be placed on waiting list after you have secured a place in a primary school.Waterlili:
Thanks a lot for your advice floppy!
Ya.. I get what you mean. I think we will take the risk and gamble our luck under P2C. Well, at least we try and if we fails we will try another nearest school which will be AMKPS. But is it possible to place a waiting list from i.e. AMKPS to SNGS?
 Knowing the chances of getting in under P2C is soooo slim...
However, given that applicants in P2A, P2B and P2C for SNGS are all involved in balloting, I won't get my hopes up too high if you are only wait listed after P2C. -
My daughter is a Singapore PR who will be joining P1 in the year 2019.
We live in Novena and I am currently working on shortlisting a few schools for her so I know which schools to focus on when the time comes. I stay within 1Km of ACS and SJI. And within 1-2Km from Singapore Chinese girls primary and St Margaret’s primary school.
From the Balloting history what I can read is that none of these schools have vacancies for me as a PR. Even St Margaret’s primary seems like a really slim chance right?
I bought the place in Novena so we ideally don’t want to move.
What are the schools I should be targeting for my daughter?
If I volunteered for St Margaret’s primary do I stand a chance? -
Discomom:
For obvious reasons, the boy schools are out. If you volunteer for St Margaret, you probably stand a good chance. Otherwise, you may have to consider Balestier Hill, Stamford or Bukit Timah Primary School. My daughter is a Singapore PR who will be joining P1 in the year 2019.

May I know when will PV start for most schools in general? Do we start applying now?

floppy:
You can consider Marymount Convent as it's just a short distance away from Novena.
