Nan Hua High School

Hi All,


I am a Singaporean living abroad (Japan), but family and I will be moving back to Singapore soon. My son will have to sit for a test set by MOE for all Returning Singaporeans (like my son), before being posted to a secondary school. MOE conducts this test for all Returning Singaporeans in Oct and Dec, every year.

I have been abroad for almost 15 years and have no idea of what any school is like, in Singapore, nor which school MOE will be posting my son to.

Nan Hua High School is just a stone’s throw away from where I will be staying in SG. So in case MOE posts my son there, I would be very grateful to know what kind of culture exists at Nan Hua High?

From the other threads, it seems that River Valley High has a rather "chinese" culture … Is there such a similar culture in Nan Hua High?

What kind of school is Nan Hua High?

Is there a timetable for SA1 ?

Yes, the timetable is out already.

Our students from NHHS (we have quite a few students from the school, as there are some famous ex teachers from this school teaching in our centre now), told us that, many classes put it on the class noticeboard.

Alternatively, you can check with the form teacher.

He is telling the true. There is no mid year exam for nan hua sec 1&2.

Hi, for students who enter via DSA with sports vs. students who enter with PSLE result then choose sports as CCA, do they spend the same amount of time in training? will school have same expectation on them? i understand those enter with sports are not allowed to change CCA. Just want to know if they will be required to train longer time or more days in school. Hope to get some advice here, thanks in advance.
