2016 P1 Registration Exercise for 2017 In-Take

grapevine:
P1 registration dates out on the website everyone. Would like to if MOE has announced that the results of registration will be announced by a certain date, will balloting be conducted before or after this date?? What are the chances for the results to be announced earlier than this date? And do all schools conduct balloting on the same date or different dates? Thanks for all your replies in advance.
If results will be out by a certain date, it means on MOE (or school website), it will announced the number of applicants against the number of available places for that phase. Hence, parents will know if they are successful in securing a place (i.e. demand less than supply) on that date. But if the demand exceeds supply, balloting will be done on a date after that certain date. Parents can choose either to personally witness the ballot or to leave it to the school to conduct the ballot. -

Singaporeans/ PRs or Distance only comes into the selection criteria for any particular phases. They are not a phase by itself. For example, phase 1 is registration if the kid have an elder siblings studying in the school. If the demand more than supply, they will give the available places to Singaporeans first. If the demand is still higher than Supply even for Singaporeans, they will allocate the places to those staying within 1 km first, then 1-2km, and >2km. Then if the demands still more than Supply for Singaporeans and within 1km for any phase, then balloting is done. :rahrah:Hi parents ,
Need to check which phase is for children staying 2km p1 registration and any advise on st Stephen school ? TIA.. -

No, register for the student care after your kid is allocated a place in the primary school. You can check with the General Office for the application form after the P1 registration. One stress at a time

Hi all parents, need some help here for register my gal to the school near my home at Bishan st 24. My gal is a Singapore PR.
Did not consider Ai Tong, I think no chance to get in at all. Nearby school left Kuo Chuan, GuangYang, Marymount Convent, Townsville, Teck Ghee, Ang Mo Kio & Jing Shan primary school. All these within 1-2km from our home.
Any advice which school to go to? Wanted to enrol her to Kuo Chuan (nearest to our home), but I afraid it is also popular and not able to get in (we are in Phase 2C).
Hope to get some help here. Thank you very much. -

Guang Yang, Marymount Convent, Townsville, Teck Ghee, Ang Mo Kio and Jing Shan are all 100% safe bets. You have 0% chance with Kuo Chuan and Ai Tong.
