All about Cancer

A friend found some lumps on her breast thru her own inspection and went to a Polyclinic to get a referral letter to SGH. 3 months later she got her appt and went thru a series of tests before being informed that she had stage 3 breast cancer. Her earliest appt for surgery and chemo was another 3 months later. Worried about her own health and frustrated with the delays in SGH for follow-up treatment, she decided to go Mt E. Within 2 days she had surgery done and chemo treatment started.
Cheap, Good or Fast. Can only choose 2 out of 3. -
Yes, private is fast/gd but definitely not cheap.

Life more important than money. If can afford and urgent, go private. -

But cancer treatment is not one-off, and so it will be a fortune to look at and probably helps with the health insurance. -
Stage 1 and stage 2 cancer, high chances of recovery.
People I have seen with stage 3 and stage 4, passed on very fast! -
There is no full recovery for cancer.

Life is precious, every day counts, can drag how long then drag how long.
I know of a lady who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer after her son’s PSLE. She dragged on with the objective to see her son grown up and be independent. The moment the son got into Uni, she sort of lost the will to fight and passed on very quickly after that. -
When we are old, we are going downhill and it is just how long we reach the end by dragging.

It depends. Some can survive longer, even with stage 4. I know a lady who has had multiple cancers in so many organs we have lost count. It started more than 10 yrs ago, up and down again and again, but is still around. In fact, she has been better the past 2-3 yrs and has even taken a part-time job! She is a very lovely, cheerful lady (of course does get \"down\" sometimes).Stage 1 and stage 2 cancer, high chances of recovery.

Another lady, with stage 4 breast cancer, went into some kind of remission for a few years before it recurred. Although the cancer is still there, and is still stage 4, she seems quite well and cheerful too. -
It depends which organ has cancer.
