For those who have enquired regarding the tutor I have previously mentioned, her name is Teacher Nicky.
Please PM me if you need her contact details because I seldom check back on the forum.
My boy has just gotten back his results for PSLE on Wednesday and he got an A* for his science. We are over the moon!! Highly recommend this teacher if you want to see improvement in your children's results.
She only teaches up till primary 6 PSLE so my boy can't continue lesson with her anymore in Secondary School which is really a pity.

My boy is currently under a private tutor and is improving a lot. He's been with her for about 1 year now and his results has been improving steadily from borderline pass last year, he can score A now. She's also teaching my siblings children and they have also been improving, really glad i found her.She teaches only science and i'm not sure whether she travels out far because me and my siblings all live in bukit panjang area.

She provides her own notes, worksheets and mindmaps and sometimes even do simple science experiments with my kid so he really loves her lesson. Science experiment really takes up a lot of time but he got better concept of the topic after the experiments.

Managed to contact teacher nicky but her slots are full for now. She only can take in new students after the current batch of students finish their PSLE.


Quite a nice lady, shared with me some notes and keywords that I can go through with my DD while I wait in the waiting list for her to have slots in October.

Hi, I happen to read your post. My children have been attending classes in true learning centre since P6 and Sec 4. The younger one is currently in the sec 3ip math while the older one has already graduated from JC last year. While in primary school, my younger one had enjoyed the science lessons and had done well in PSLE. As true learning only offers math for secondary levels, she could only join the secondary math class. Overall, I am very happy with the centre as I could see the gradual improvement in their grades since the time they joined the centre. According to my children, many of their classmates have been with the centre for many years. As you live in hougang/sengkang/punggol area, you can consider their Kovan branch or Novena branch. My children are from their Jurong branch.

not sure if this is the right forum to talk about math as the title is Science classes p3. Anyway, my dd told me that in each lesson the tutor will teach the concepts and will use examples to illustrate how the concepts are being applied in different scenarios. In the next half of the lesson, the tutor will give them a set of worksheet to work on to check their understanding and their ability to apply the concepts learnt. This seems to be the model adopted by true learning centre for their ip math lessons.

I hope kovan branch will be as good as Jurong branch.
I have more questions: is there hands on experiment and home work to completed?
Do we parents need to revise with their children after each lesson? Can you also share the class fees?
