Hi, any clue when the RAD results will be released? I believe it should be within the next few weeks right?

I asked my DD teacher but she only said "soon".

Coaching class starting so early??? Which dance school is your DD from? Thought usually it is 6 months before the exams, i,e, around Sept/ Oct?

Tried contacting teacher Jenna who teaches at kamping ubi cc+bt pj cc,
As we are quite near to bt pj,thus very keen on her classes,
But she didn’t reply to my sms since days ago:(
Am now anxious to find a good teacher/school,
As i am supposed to pay for new term at current school…
Haiz!!
Hope to get some feedback on Mdm Lim’s classes,
& other recommendations on teachers/school from central-west…
Woodlands area also ok!!

Since the CC is closed to your home, why don't you just pop over and talk to the teacher? Some teachers teaching slots are back to back so they will not have time to listen to phone calls and may be slow to respond to messages. I did that when I sourced for DD ballet teacher then. This thicked skinned mother just walked straight in and talked to the teacher when one class ended and the other class has yet to start.

grade 3 is longer coaching. dancepoint. dec off.[/quote]Dancepoint may be more critical of higher grades girl probably. When DD did Grade 3, she also started coaching in Sept/ Oct. But is longer coaching good training for the girls

Time flies, my girl is doing Grade 5 now... she still likes ballet a lot... hope she will be good enough to be doing vocational grades in the near future :xedfingers:

Just curious.. why do you want to change ballet school? I mean your girl is already doing well till Grade 5, so she may be very used to her current teacher teaching style.

she took G1 in 2014 got high merit,
jumped grade & took G3 in 2015 & got distinction, with the coaching from a senior teacher there,
who was very strict & very experienced,
unfortunately she resigned last year June, after her G3 exam,
& another relatively new teacher(who was mainly teaching lower grades) took over,from july..
But apparently, actually this teacher was pregnant since last Feb, coz she delivered in mid nov,
yet management put her in to replace the senior teacher!! :yikes:
so a relief teacher took over fm mid nov(dec no class) till mid March,
but Guess what??
in jan/feb,we noticed this relief teacher also pregnant !! :yikes:
(we suspect management knew she pregnant when engage her!!? haiz!!)
& after relief teacher left, then I heard from some girls that
this relief teacher always waste a lot of time to scold them:(
(sadly, my gal didn't feedback to me)


the gals do not go EXAM yearly, thus this year supposed to take G4 but we not taking(only internal exam)..
Next year 2017 then my gal taking G5 exam...
but I had lost my confidence in the school..
& very disappointed with the way they engage the teachers, at expense of the students progress & learning...
the learning of the gals has been very much hindered
and preparation of G5 exam is very shaky!

& in addition, they combined 2 classes into 1,
thus the current class is damn big with 23 students :yikes:
this is even bigger class size than CC!!
very cramped esp for some movements/techniques exercises which need a lot of space...
not conducive for learning at all!!
& the gals have to wait very long for their turn to show teacher the steps!!
for a professional school to combine class at their own commercial benefits,
BUT at the expense of the students' learning & progress,
I am deeply disappointed with the management!!

NOT forgetting that in our 4-5years there,
there were at least twice/thrice, that our sat class was disbanded last minute,
and we were simply informed to join other classes on Sun(this last round, only 1 timing,1 class, no choice at all!!), no word of apologies, nor explanation(only explanation I can think of is our class size shrunk, so not beneficial for them to operate lor...)...basically, no customer service at all...

with no confidence in school management, & lousy inconsiderate service(or rather no service at all),
I hope to find another good teacher/school for my gal..
esp she achieved distinction in G3(despite skipping grade),
& is still very very passionate in ballet..
I regret deeply..felt I should have changed school once that senior teacher left...
but at that point in time, I trusted the school to find an appropriate replacement teacher..

hope in still in time...
plus she did not take g4 this year, many teachers/school may not take her in,
to take g5 next year :slapshead:
