Hi, my daughter has been going for tuition for E/M/C since p1. I am now more than happy to see her improvement because she has never pass her exams. Eversince i put her in kip Mcgrath toa payoh lor 7… She returned with a 71 for her english. Her math from never ever pass to 78! my husband and myself was so happy. We have to share because we were there for less than 6 months only.

It really depends if you're looking for something mainstream, same material that the school goes through or are you looking at something that will interest your child, generate a good sense of logic skills. There are so many math centres out there. It really depends on your outcome.

Hi justMommy, care to share some of the tuition centres which you would recommend? In my opinion, think I will opt for something which will interest my child instead of constant drilling which I feel can be achieved by doing assessment books and past year papers…

My girls did worse than expected this time, especially in Maths. I wrote in to their well-known tuition center to review the results and analyze the cause of the problem, there is no reply after 5 days! Super pissed off and upset by the sudden change in attitude!!! You see how these tuition centers claimed how good they are in improving the students’ results but when their own students do not do well, they just shy away from the parents, do not even want to help nor talk to you.

Any chance of talking to the teacher directly to have a better idea of what went wrong?

Yes, I will be seeing the school teachers next week but was thinking of talking to tutors first because they specialized in Maths. They may be able to diagnose the issue by looking at the school papers. It is disappointing that they do not even want to reply my email.
