RE: All About Life Without Maids
MrsKiasu:
I find that we could do a lot of things/have more time when kids are in the full day cc. Start to rush picking up the kids when kids start their primary school.
Truly agree. Full day cc is a life saver! Now I need to stress on the logistics when my girl starts P1 next year... -
RE: Mummy buds' Heyloo all!

\"Accumulated Deficiency\" comes into my mind when I read this case. This is the harsh reality. I was surprised when my girl told me that the school tested them on their reading ability and hanyu pinyin during the recent P1 orientation day. I would have thought it was supposed to be a fun day.Hi buds,
It's sad to read about the taxi driver's daughter and how the couple left the child to her own devices while they are at work. The present education system is not possible for parents to think that the preschool will prepare the kids for p1. when daughter was in kindy, other parents transferred their kids out to another school because daughter's kindergarten didn't have homework...the kindergarten believes in 'learn through play'.
Kids now don't learn their abc and 123 only in p1...they would have to understand all these before formal schooling. The taxi driver would need to change his mindset...if the child is not disciplined or get a foundation, the little girl would struggle as she moves up to p2 where there is sa2 and unprepared for mid primary.

RE: All about Cancer
Hi Summation,
All the best for your brother. Is a tough decision to decide whether to proceed with the surgery. Pancreatic cancer is usually fatal. My dad succumbed to it after a 10 months fight without surgery. Our doctor is Dr Donald Poon at Raffles Hospital. You may like to consult him. One of my ex colleague managed to recover after a surgery to remove the tumour though. -
RE: Mummy Funz's Funhouse
Hi Funz
I truly feel you. My girl also behaves the same way, always looking at her daddy’s face to observe whether he is happy or not. Everytimes her answer will be "if you want me to do, i will do". I also feeling very stressed over this situation. This will affect the child assertiveness and self confidence. So worried about this. -
RE: Travel: Australia - Perth
Heard of similar things regarding sea sick when whale watching. So don’t dare to try when at Perth.

RE: Qantas Airline
Hi, just took Qantas to Perth recently in early Sept. Not many complaints just that the seats are a bit squeeze. May pose a bit of challenge esp if you are sharing your seat with an infant.

Hi ptb7476not rubbing salt on wound .. but those who got in in phase 2C have you recevied letter ?
i din get any letter but a friend already received his .. how ??
what are the chance of the school missed out the kid ...hearsay it happened before
Can call the school to confirm. For my case, the letter was sent to wrong parent and the parent called me. That's how we found out. After that, we called the school and the school apologised. And they resent the letter.
