I got my letter yesterday. It was dated 1 August and received on 2 August.

I was equally anxious because I had used the online registration system. So, I called the school yesterday (before realizing that a letter was in my post box) and they were very kind to confirm the registration. I'm not sure if your school will do the same but it's worth a shot.

You should have your child's name and BC # ready since that's what the school wanted to know.

As much as technology has improved, the postal system hasn't changed very much since the 20th century.

Be patient. You already have your acknowledgement letter, and the announcement by MOE. You know where you stand.

i was quite firm that my son got in but someone mentioned, got kids being missed out in the phase so that is why i start to get worried :oops:

If your child is registered in a phase which isn't singled out for balloting, there's no need to worry, especially if you registered in person.

I was just being kiasu because of the online registration - this being the first time they're trying this option out. Anyway, it works

Can call the school to confirm. For my case, the letter was sent to wrong parent and the parent called me. That's how we found out. After that, we called the school and the school apologised. And they resent the letter.

I think the schools also used the P1-IS system even if you go to the school to register manually so I think as long as the school you choose doesn’t require balloting for your distance category, should be quite safe.

My nephew got ballot out for Rulang Primary. We are looking at Jurong West Primary but there’s only 8 vacancies left and it is within 2km from my brother’s place. Because my nephew is mild ASD, so the recommended schools for him are Rulang and Jurong West Primary. It would be good if he can go into one of these schools, coz his younger brother is also mild ASD.


For phase 2C supplementary, is it based on first-come-first-basis or it also based on distance? TIA!!!
