Wanted to go to the Isetan sale at Katong (to avoid the squeeze at Scotts).

But not sure if Parkway Parade will be opened or not. The mall is closed since Monday due to fire.

      Parkway will reopen tomorrow

I have been to the Isetan private sales once on a wkday. The long queue at the counter is enough to scare me off! Best to go with 2 person, one to queue and the other to grab the items!

This situation has improved in these 2 years. The last few private sales i went to was not as crowded as previous years and usually I do not have to queue to pay or at most a couple of people in the queue. I usually go at 11plus ( nearing lunch) and I have no problem making multiple trips to the cashier counters.

They usually have pop-up cashiers all over the place.. Some are literally waiting for customers. Avoid toy department, home appliance department and the ones near the Level 1 accessories/shoes department.
The queues at the pop-up cashiers just infront of the Agnes B at the men's dept are usually short or non-existent and also the cashiers at the Golf department.

there are more make shift cashiers on top of the existing ones. but if you already know what you want, then one person to queue and another to grab (taking turns), it's way faster.
