Where did she get info that this year PSLE is the 2nd most difficult?

If it's true, it's also good becos bell curve will be moderated.

I never realize DSA process is just as stressful as sitting for PSLE. If successful, it's worth the stress, but if unsuccessful, you still need to go PSLE stress?

I have walked through PSLE, O levels, A levels with my kids. Now my DD is going to the Uni n it's another 4 years of stress. Just can't wait for them to finish with our education system.

So for parents who have just started the exam journey, pls remember PSLE is not the end but just the beginning of stress for your children.

        Good luck to all.

        😄

2014 seems to have been a reasonable year - DS1 sat for PSLE that year- no killer papers…

Hence the relative lowering of the T-score for the whole cohort.

But yeah, no point being defeated even before the exam starts. Just prep the kids to do their best and not look back after that.

I wouldn’t count on DSA…unless I already have an offer in the bag like some do.

What do you mean \"an offer in the bag\"?

I really wish that MOE or SEAB would clarify this because it has been on the main media and is causing a considerable stir.
MOE/SEAB should clarify why that girl said this year's PSLE will be 'second most difficult'. she is just a P6 student, so where did she get this information from?

some girl says something she feels and.moe/seab got to jump out and say something? why? just because something was on tv doesn't make it real. 🤷 if it's a tough paper, everyone will find it tough and marks get adjusted. if it's an easy paper, then only those careful ones will do really well, but that may not show mastery of content. :siam:

At the end of the day , PSLE result is with reference to cohort. So nothing to panic about. Let’s remind our children that and not to panic if they found a paper difficult. If it is difficult , then it is likely difficult across the board. So do your best. If it is easy, then do your checks and do your best.

Easy papers will make the distinction more narrow. And of course, the ones who are more prone to mistakes pay a higher penalty.
