Janet88, I think it is not a problem at all for your dd to continue her ij journey in sec school so long as it is her 1st choice. What I like about the school is that the school will try to take in all the feeder students, at least in dd's time, giving every feeder student a chance to study there. The teachers, according to dd, are dedicated & caring. Your dd will be happy there, feeling right at home.

Our first choice will definitely be IJ Toa payoh secondary.
I love the warm feeling and caring teachers who give her the necessary support very much needed since P1. She loves the environment and principal, Mrs Tan.

But in Secondary School the prinicipal is different yah.

i remember when i was in IJ tp sec, the principal was a nun. in fact, there were several nuns in both the primary and secondary schools.
just curious, what’s your principal like?

sorry for the late reply, but she's really nice!
just recently, during the cny celebrations, my classmate's oranges just got taken away by the lion dancers and was used for the performance. she thought they would return it but they didnt. She said her mum would scold her hence she cried... Mrs Tay saw and she actually went over to console her , and even gave her her oranges.. that was a very heartwarming scene infact...

Is there anyone here whose daughter entered last year through DSA for student leadership? We are finalising my daughter’s submission for this year before the end of the holidays so any pointers or hints would be much appreciated.
