PHASE 2C
Hi, can someone advise me...
on 26 July, the online registration starts for phase 2C...
how do i monitor the status... is it only end of each day , then the system will have updates? There is no live updates right? Which means i can only see the leftover vacancies at the end of the first 2 days only ...on the last day of online registration 28 July, i will not be able to see any further updates on the system right? i will have to base on the 2nd day result to make the decision on the last day...
Someone , pls help me... feeling stress   -

Yes, you are right. You won't be able to monitor the situation online. If possible, you should be physically in the school on the last hour to get the live update from their admin staff.PHASE 2C

Hi
Can anyone advise? Can call up the school admin to check the number of application (2B) before we enrol? I find it is a waste of time to go down if all the slot are taken up by those stay within 1km. -

If I'm not wrong, only registration in Phase 2C can be done online. You can call up the school to check on the status, but it's up to them whether they want to disclose the information or not. It would be a favor, not an obligation.Hi

hi all,
i was wondering - thus far we are looking at the number of vacancies remaining after each phase - how do the parent know if the child has been formally been accepted into the primary school.
would there be a letter or phonecall or email from the school? if not how and when will the school tell the parent to prepare to but uniforms, school books etc etc
thanks in advance -

There will be a formal letter from the school to tell you what to do next. You can call the school up to confirm as the letter would be sent much later.hi all,

You will get a form mailed back to you at the end of each phase that states your child has been accepted into the school. At least that’s what we got for 2A1. Registered on Tuesday, got the form on following Monday.
Form will also state the orientation date. Presumably that’s when you know the rest of preparation needs. -
thanks galaxyrider and grimm,
ermz, am i correct to say if the application somehow got rejected or must under go balloting, etc the school will also reply u in a formal manner via letter??
thanks again -
Dunno because also first time and was lucky to have no balloting.
However on the form there’s an option to state that your child did NOT get a place. So I assume you get the form either way?
Sorry, couldn’t help more. -

If you need to go for balloting, I think they will call you. But some schools might take the passive approach of waiting for parents to call them instead.thanks galaxyrider and grimm,

I didn't go through balloting, so I can't advise you on whether there would be a formal rejection letter. I would assume there isn't. Imagine sending hundreds of rejection letters... :scared:
I suggest that you be more proactive and call the school as soon as the registration is closed. If you need to ballot but you can't attend, call the school once the balloting is over. Usually the balloting exercise is done in the morning, few days after registration for the respective phase is closed.
