A few months back while I was reading the newspaper about the Tiger Woods saga, DD2, who was playing near me, (at that time she was 4 turning 5) suddenly blurted out: \"Golfer, you don't know what is love\"!
I was  :? How apt! How on earth did she know about the write-up I was reading? So I asked where did she learn that? ...and the answer?
\"Oh! That was what the King told Gothel (the witch) in Rapunzel (Barbie movie)!
She had watched the DVD of \"Barbie as Rapunzel\" a few days back, but I've no idea why or how that quote got into her head! -
One fine day, while DD1 was singing loudly at home, DD2 suddenly exclaimed: \"Great singers don't need a chorus!\"
When we heard that, we were  ! Who taught her that? :? and it came out at the right time too!
When asked, she said innocently: \"That was from Barbie and the Diamond Castle, when .....\" and she continued to tell me it was Lydia, the evil muse who said it to Melody in the movie. I went to take a look at the DVD again and guess what, it really came from there!
Guess she had too much of Barbie already.

Brought the kids out for a movie yesterday.
While walking from Marina Sq to Suntec, there were many people distributing flyers. I waved all of them off while DH accepted all of the flyers. DD observed this and asked me why I donβt take any of them. Told her most are junk anyway.
To which she said "oh yah, daddy loves to collect junk." -

last night, out of the blue, he poped me a question
\"Dad .... am I in Tao Nan School because you are a kiasu parent?\"

This happened yesterday .....
Driving back home along one of the Bishan street that was going to lead out to Braddell Road soon ....
Suddenly ...
DS: mummie, xxx want to pee pee
Me: :!: Oii, can tahan please, mummi just 10 mins away from home
DS: cannot .... xxx want to pee pee now now now
Me: (desperately thinking what to do, 1st time in this situation while driving, see a carpark and decide to turn right in and park the car)
Me: Okie, mummie has parked the car here .. you go with xxx (helper) to the grass verge and pee pee.
DS: (frees himself from the child seat and leans forward) mummi, tell xxx again why you put gear to P and pull handbrake up
Me:
you want to pee pee ornot, go now ...
After some minutes DS returns ...
DS: mummi, xxx water the grass already
Me: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: -

DH bought those plastic bags that pp use to make 'sng bao' - and he only made that iced treat once. End up a lot of bags left, so we put some in the car, if DS2 has emergency and adult is on hand to assist, he'll pee into those plastic bags.

But there were a couple of times when 1 bag wasn't enough. (moral of the story: prepare a bit bigger bag) -

haha, good idea. but most times, i just let him pee into any plastic bag that we can find. there was once, we can't find any plastic bag, but just nice he has just finished this bottle of mineral water and we asked him to pee inside... :rotflmao: looks like chrysanthemum tea tho....DH bought those plastic bags that pp use to make 'sng bao' - and he only made that iced treat once.
