nicnac, don't despair...your DD might feel your despair too.


Maybe give your DD some happy moments to look forward to every week...something unrelated to gaming or social media. And let her gets lots of sleep - at least 9 hours a day. IMHO Burn out is usually caused by a mixture of stress, repetitive work and physical exhaustion. So I think lots of positive strokes, reassurance, rest and fun moments may help.

Spartanmum, DS too was sick over the weekend, right before prelim oral. He has passed it on to me now

My DS2 finishes prelim oral today. He will be relieved...for the moment. Oral, esp MTL oral, is not in his comfort zone!

Prelim oral today.[/quote]DD has been doing practice papers, hardly science though, from school. Not sure if they are past school exam papers. Usually, they need to only 1 or 2 sections of the papers, not whole, so workload is manageable.

Hadn't been monitoring, DS has been busy with schoolwork and left at that. Was surprised that it's prelim orals this week - and more shocked that their psle orals will be mid Aug....so near, but I'll be glad when it's over.

So worried that DD will get the slightly flu before the LC exams... Blocked nose, blocked ears
Even for SA2, the sound system was not perfect... Can't hear clearly :gloomy: hence both kiddos made mistake.

today’s oral turned out to be a nightmare…none of the topics revised came out. her eyes were watery. I told her to take it easy.


had headache and vomited after her bath. lots of homework.

Oh dear Janet, is your dd feeling better now? She just completed her orals today? If so, she can rest more since weekend is coming. Hope she recovers v soon. Praying all psle kids stay healthy for the next 2 months or so :xedfingers:
