my work for daughter has to be shelved again

        Too much homework from school?

She was given her school's past year exam for homework.
        Prelim oral today.
DD has been doing practice papers, hardly science though, from school. Not sure if they are past school exam papers. Usually, they need to only 1 or 2 sections of the papers, not whole, so workload is manageable.

2 months more :scared: ... But I want it done and over with :nunchuk:

Hadn't been monitoring, DS has been busy with schoolwork and left at that. Was surprised that it's prelim orals this week - and more shocked that their psle orals will be mid Aug....so near, but I'll be glad when it's over.

Just 2 more months to go..

To all the kids taking their prelim and PSLE,

Wishing you all the best of health during this stressful period! :celebrate:
May you all do your best and exceed your OWN expectations! :rahrah: .... Never mind what your 'neighbours' get.

So worried that DD will get the slightly flu before the LC exams... Blocked nose, blocked ears 😓
Even for SA2, the sound system was not perfect... Can't hear clearly :gloomy: hence both kiddos made mistake.

today’s oral turned out to be a nightmare…none of the topics revised came out. her eyes were watery. I told her to take it easy.

had headache and vomited after her bath. lots of homework.

it’s going to be a very tough period ahead.

Oh dear Janet, is your dd feeling better now? She just completed her orals today? If so, she can rest more since weekend is coming. Hope she recovers v soon. Praying all psle kids stay healthy for the next 2 months or so :xedfingers:

Oh dear! Was it due to stress or was she unwell? Hope she's better already.

Oral topics  .... You never know what you are gonna get 🤷 My DD's nightmare. She can never 'smoke' her way through. Her remarks are always, too much fidgeting and too much \"uhmm...'

Hope she gets over her disappointment fast. Can only look forward now on and focus on the end.

DD already finished her prelims oral last week and having LC and Paper 1 for languages this week (till Mon for HCL).

There is the flu bug going round her school. With more liquid and fruits, hope she can avoid that flu bug. Wishing all the kids good health and good performance in Prelims, and of course later in PSLE!

that's what I told her. it's impossible to know what topic will be tested.
as for the discussion, she can't smoke her way through.

her headache probably due to stress from the oral and the pressure to complete the homework.

thanks...she does look better after she woke up.
after breakfast, she will have to complete the homework.

with effect from today until psle oral, she is not allowed to eat deep fried food, sweets and chocolates.
