That's how life works. Just be glad that there is still some hope. So go for something more concrete now... ie. your 2nd choice, and then plan towards getting back into your first choice if you really want it.ChiefKiasu:
If you are not successful in any Phase, you remain unregistered. There is no need to withdraw your application from the previous school. Just go to the next available school and register there for the next Phase. But if you are really interested in the previous school, you should put your child's name on its waiting list. I have known several cases where parents get called up in December with good news.
ouh really??but thats by luck right?it will not.guarantee that right?
Chances are, your child may actually flourish better in the 2nd choice school, and you may simply accept as the right choice. :xedfingers: -
Any updates on SKG, how many applicants belong to less than 1km (citizens)?

I registered my boy in West Grove this morning. Out of 98 applications received yesterday, 71 SG and 27 PR. If you are staying within 1km.. better chance
ruhuasee:
hi there,I registered at westwood primary yesterday morning..as of 1030 am,was 83 applicants(sc 1km include online)..they state the breakdowns..after I fill up a form,I have to go to the counter whereby the staff there will register for me again thru their computer system and also.photocopy all my original documents...the staff there told me if.balloting required and im unsuccessful,I have to go back to the school and withdraw and then wait for the next phase and register for another school..is it like that?? :scared:
Isya MOE web indicates 152(vacancies) --- 122 (registered) ..... meaning up to now, left 30 vacancies.. is that how you read...
west grove 115 (vacancies) --- 98 (registered) .... meaning only left 17 ? so fast?
i hope i interpret it correctly
worry for my brother man... he aiming these 2 ...
yup...usually within 1km a bit stress coz need balloting but then there's chance u get the school coz nearby... but to me...I think only...not.guarantee or confirm...if u register to the school, mayb there's higher chance of getting.the sch especially ure within 1km instead for those apply online but also within 1km...this is just a thinking only..because as far as I know, Ive ask 3 parent whom all of them register their 1st child(also phase 2c) at the school of their choice and all 3 are within 1km n they applied westwood/west grove. all of them have to ballot and all of them got.the.sch..but I ask 1 parent who applied online, during phase 2c,stay within 1km,(westwood)needs balloting but didnt get the school..but it's all by luck...thats y wanna know if any of u have friend or anyone u know that apply online n get the school especially applying school that needs balloting..?? :yikes: -

Hi ptb7476,
NCPS has more applicants than available vacancies for SC, within 1km. My sibling is more than 1km. As long as you are more than 1km, regardless of 1.05km or 1.01km or 1.1km etc, will never stand a chance for balloting. Get it? The stubborn sibling heeded my advice at last. -

i think you mean 4 < 2km?Rosyth - 78 within 1km, 4 <1km

Hi
You mean 4 are more than 1km (>1km)? 78 within 1km balloting for 65 places?
Those 4 should withdraw immediately. No chance. -

ChiefKiasu:
It's just due to the number of young families living around the area. What I don't understand is why Sengkang Green is so much more popular than Springdale given that they were both new schools set up at the same time (2012).
Maybe its due to the school leaders?
I really don't understand why there are so many fighting over this school, is it as good as a SAP or a GEP school?moonity:
