st nicks only has 22 sc less than 1km as at 10.50am so mayb they will escape balloting this year.
if this is indeed the case, then it's a good indication to have the first child born in a not so hot year
after that, rest of the younger siblings can enter at Phase 1, as the eldest sibling lead the way in for them smoothly -

Just sharing my experience, I got a shock during phase 2b. At 415pm on the last day, we called, there was still one vacancy left. So we were quite confident but after the update by MOE at 7pm, we got a shock, suddenly 5 more applicants appeared. So it was a roller coaster ride for us!Disneyland03:

tend to see some last minute applicants rush to withdraw from one school, then quickly rush to enrol in another school, before 4.30 pm closure -
How did the last 5 applicants happen when there is not enough time to possibly accommodate all 5 at the last 15 min?
would it be safer to go to the main registration site on the last day to know the results?
Now hesitating whether to go to the actual site later. -

We have absolutely no idea how it happen. Either there was really a surge in applicants or the school gave us an incorrect info. How did the last 5 applicants happen when there is not enough time to possibly accommodate all 5 at the last 15 min?

I'm not sure whether you can manage to catch the admin staff to give you an update on the spot though... -

it's hard to tell how the demand is for every year.
if demand exceeds supply, distance will come into consideration...less than 1km, between 1-2km and more than 2km. if all kids are SCs and living within 1km, then there will be balloting. -

Want to go CHIJ just go lah... unless you have dragon boy waiting... then choose wisely.
yes yes PRs have super lots of choices.. :boogie:desmin:
Many popular schools are still not fully subscribed - MGS  , RGPS, SJIJ, Maris Stella (SAP), Kuo Chuan, PLMGS, Holy Innocents (SAP) etc. Those fighting tooth and nail at Seng Kang can consider HIPS, it's not that far away.
Very envious of this year's parents.
Looking at the stiff balloting at younger estates, think parents prefer to place kids in nearby schools instead of faraway branded ones.
SPRs will have better school choices and chances this year.
and now i in a dilemma to change my choice of sch to CHIJ.. :rotflmao:
Those citizens balloting at Alexandra, Seng Kang, Tampines etc, can some of you please try to get a seat in the under-subscribed popular schools while you still have a chance?
Haha.. I only have 1 and only DD.. most of her K2 fren cum neighbour will be in Anderson.... So when my dd join a new place still have lots of old fren tt grow up together since infant. CHIJ is just my wishful thinking..

I have a dragon boy. if not this year, I will go for St nick…so envious… can go in without balloting for sc less than 1 km
