That is if the student is in the IP program.
If she is in the āOā Level track (if they still have it),
then she should still continue to enjoy the affiliation to CJC. -

Thanks for the enlightenment. That is if the student is in the IP program.

There is a difference !
I saw from the list that St Nicholas is affiliated to Catholic JC. I thought St Nicholas is going to link to a new JC called Euonia or something ?
St Nick Secondary girls, who are affliated to Catholic JC (CJC) :
are only for JAE (Joint Admission Exercise) students, who after taking \"O\" level exam, get 2 points discounted, to enter CJC.
These girls are in the \"O\" level track.
St Nick Secondary girls, who are affliated to Eunoia JC (EJC) :
are only for IP students, who after Psle, study for next 6 years, sit for A level at EJC, bypass \"O\" level exam.
These girls, are in the IP track
Conclusion :
whether they are affliated to CJC, or to EJC :
depend on which track or program, they come from. -

Thanks for the clarification phtthp.

Although St Nick Secondary \"O\" level girls are privileged to enter affliated Catholic JC, at -2 bonus points :That is if the student is in the IP program.
If she is in the 'O' Level track (if they still have it),
then she should still continue to enjoy the affiliation to CJC.
however, usually the Top \"O\" level students (3-pointers) from St Nick Sec, head for either Raffles Institution or Hwa Chong, for \"A\" level.
some also head for National JC, for \"A\" level. -

Sorry, I am not aware of such site. From the list of schools above, I believe Holy Innocent's and Punggol risk being oversubscribed, so you may wish to reconsider. Also, have you considered visiting two or three schools, during which you can ask for the PSLE results? -
william_toh:
I don't think it makes much sense for you to use the PSLE result as a basis of selection for Phase 2Cs. If available, everyone will be doing that and you risk being balloted out again (or worst, no chance to ballot at all).Dear All,

From the list above, just pick the one nearest your place (ideally < 1km) and with the lowest risk of balloting. -
Dear Gurus,
Need advice for planning of DD's primary school, please help!
Here's our background:
- DD1 born 2013, so P1 registration in 2019. DD2 born 2014 (one year apart, i know!
)
- Our home is in serangoon
- hubby was from cat high, whereas i don't have any sch alumni
- i'm catholic so eligible for Phase 2b for catholic schs.
Factors/criteria for school:
- school shouldn't be too far from our home
- we want a catholic/christian all girls sch
- preferably with affiliation to a good secondary sch
Schs shortlisted (by order of preference, not necessarily eligible
)
1) St Nicholas girls --> no hope cause >2km. sigh...
2) CHIJ Toa Payoh --> looking at past year's stats, have to ballot for >2km under Phase 2B
3) PLMGS --> no affiliation to church/no alumni. Asked sch about PV scheme, they replied that they are open to applicants >2km but said that they don't usually select parents who can only volunteer on weekends i.e. working parents. PV applications open in June 2017 for DD1
4) CHIJ OLGC --> we stay within 1km. this is my fall back plan if all else fails.... past stats showed phase 2C <1 has good chance. but this school seems unpopular?
Appreciate all advice/insights please! Thanks!
