I am keen to let my son (9yos) learn computer courses like multimedia, MS words, excel or powerpoint just because he seem so keen to learn. Does anyone has experience with a good learning center? Any location in the west? Thanks 😄

        Hey, Acidica!

Don’t you try to use online courses? Some of them are pretty interesting but I’m not sure this kind of "education" is an appropriate way for 9yo boy.
M, additionally there is a "Computing" program in Science Centre.

I would think that such courses would be offered in schools? No? If your kid likes computers in general you may want to check out https://www.facebook.com/events/1726647 ... l&source=4?

With Scratch, students will build their own virtual pet games and learn basic Computational Thinking in the process. They will be taken through a demonstration of making a pet game that requires feeding, fun and resting actions for the pet to instil responsible pet ownership principles. Come learn to code and make a virtual family pet!

You can start your gal off doing ScratchJr, as it is suitable for kids 5-7 yrs.

If she is progressing well, then she can go on to Scratch and other block programs as all these teaches Computational Thinking and are under STEM.

Start exploring and enjoy the learning
