Hi lazymummy,Thanks Blue-march
We called many, in fact about 30 kinder/childcare already. Faith is out of budget so we are not considering. We are not specifically looking for church schools, just so happen these 3 have vacancy, school bus and quite near to our house.
Have not tried the 3 you mentioned, I shall check out Fairfield tmr since it's near my office, initially its not in my short-listed cos i think the journey for school bus will be abit far.
Anyway, no harm asking. Thanks again
You're welcome :celebrate: -

No, they are exactly 51 weeks apart but they look like twins. The younger one is almost as tall as the older one and she copies the sister in everything. Now, both of them can hold a conversation with each other
Must have stamina one because I've seen alot of cases where the children are super smart but they are just left on their own (4-5 years old still cannot recognise alphabets and numbers and have been in childcare all their lives). I don't want my kids to be like that.
Reading is good! You are still reinforcing what they learn in school.... Even a little bit will do alot for their future. Jia yo!! :ugogirl:
O.. so they have very close age gap ya.. so sweet that they can communicate with each other.. imagine them using their baby language.. sweet...:D -

Hi,
Iām new to this forum, am looking for full day child care for my boy ard Tiong Bahru / Redhill area. Anyone has experience with Cambridge CDC @ Tanglin? -
simpsons:
yeah.. i have 'discovered' another childcare at depot ..appleland.. seems ok too... I will drop by to take a look at both childcares soon... hopefully i can get my mind fixed on which childcare to go thereafter.. wow u steady leh.. can still have the stamina to teach your gals after work.. i will only read to her and thereafter i mabok...haha..:D..btw you have twins huh?
Very surprise that the cheapest fee for Cherie Hearts is at depot CMPB $380 after subsidy. Aircon some more.
As for appleland in depot, lagi cheaper. ~$200 after subsidy. Aircon too!
EDUCA-ZION GROUP depot shopping centre $700 after subsidy! aircon too. branded than cherie hearts? Some more heard full house! The operator must be really $$. -
Any comments on this cc? tks

The price is kind of high... $1000 for whole day? after subsidy $700.
Let say you go appleland nearby 3km??, after subsidy $200
1. $100 for school bus.
2. $80 for english speech and drama conduct by the expert.
3. $50 for computer class.
4. $80 for chinese speech and drama conduct by the expert.
total $510 compare you pay $700+$210 (assume you stay walking distance), not worth.
Unless the teachers is very very good or the place is very very nice, i would suggest you go else where for the sake of $$.
And also, this place is located in HDB no air-con??? why charge so high? or they assume kim tian people is rich? -

My two elder children were from Damien. We chose it cos its the only kindy offering tamil in this vicinity. No regrets as both children were adequately prepared for Pri 1. As the population of Indian children is rather high, you will find the chinese classes smaller than usual which enables the teacher giving more attention to each child.Hi
Me and my SIL are currently looking for pre-school in Queenstown for next year's enrollment as we will be moving there by this year. My mum is taking care of the kids so I only need a pre-school and not childcare.
We have found True way presbyterian / Damien Centre & Queenstown Lutheran. I have search thru the forum but can't seem to find much review on above schools (if I have missed them, please link me thanks!)
They are chosen cos of below points:
1) they have vacancy for both my niece, age 3 & my daughter, age 2.
2) They have school bus.
3) Timing of classes is right.
4) Fees within our budget.
Any parents here having kids in one of the above? Would like to get feedback on the schools, any feedback, no matter good or bad.
Thank you.
However there has been a change in management in recent years and I heard from other parents that its not like before. So I am back to square 1 looking for a kindy for my 5yo
Based on what i have read so far, I may choose Good Shepherd Kindy as my nephew and nieces were from there, many years ago

Hi All,
I also looking around for Childcare & Student Care for both my kids. Somehow I notice CC the fees after subsidy range like $180 - $1000.
Really not so easy to evaluate CC esp reqd time to go visit them during the office hours. BTW should we choose CC near to our house or near our workplace? -

there was a similar discussion in another forum. Many working mothers felt that its more convenient to choose a CC nearer to office. this is esp helpful if you need to work later than expected and fetching the children will be less of a hassle. Travelling time is cut down substantially.Hi All,

Of course it also depends on the arrangement about who fetches the children- whether its the daddy or the mother.
