Congratulations to parents who have managed to secure places for their kids so far.

For parents who have been balloted out today, fret not, as there are still many places left in several good schools amongst the remaining 111 primary schools which still have vacancies. We have worked out the prediction for Phase 2C(S) by comparing last year's Phase 2C(S) numbers with this year's remaining places and identified 8 schools which will most likely be oversubscribed in Phase 2C(S). These are the schools to be AVOIDED in the upcoming Phase 2C(S)!

For more details, please read our http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/event/2016-p1-registration-phase-2cs.

Congratulations to everyone who made it through balloting yesterday :congrats: . And good luck to those trying in 2C supp. I noticed that there are many schools which traditionally do not have places for 2Csupp do have places now. Like St Margaret's. Could be the tiger year effect. But it translates to more choices for those who are trying in this phase.

            Hi ChiefKiasu,
Referring to the P2C(s) prediction from the link you provided above, I realized that schools that was over-subscript or full during P2C might not show the true scenario... for eg, Jiemin left no vacancy for P2C(S) in 2015 (all taken up during P2C) therefore number of registrant was zero under P2C(S)... Schools that previously do not have vacancy for P2C(S) should be more risky right? :scratchhead:

You are quite right. There will be a need to compare the take up rate in Phase 2C of the previous year before concluding that a school is popular or not. Thank you for pointing that out.

just want to share some experiences with the online registration system. initially i planned to do registration at school on day 3, but end of day 2 i called up the school and confirmed that the chance of getting in was quite high, so i last minute chose to do online registration. i login at 4.20pm, at 4.25pm i only managed to complete all the info but still need to wait for my husband to login via singpass. Then i received a phone call, it was from the school which i wanted to register. The school said MOE called them and informed them there was still a parent doing registration online, so school asked if i had any problems because the system would be close in 5 mins time and MOE couldn't close while someone were still using . i told them i was in the last step already and finished the registration just before 4.30pm. I have to say i am very impressed about how MOE monitor the system. i haven't submitted my registration (i think i used save button though) but they managed to or bothered to ask school to call parents! šŸ˜“ šŸ˜„

Wow! You mean that they actually know you are the one still using the system and called you up. It is indeed impressive! šŸ˜„ It is very reassuring for parents like us to know that the online system is being carefully monitored in real time.

It's not that they're monitoring in real time, but the system would alert them if there are unfinished processes as they are getting ready to close the registration.

It's similar as SQ website. If you start a booking but never complete the payment, the system will prompt you that you have an unfinished booking and whether you want to complete it or to cancel it.
