he is not vain, he is quite a laid back chap but because due to health, he has to go for the stomach binding. dun think that it's good to go for such operation, after the operation, he cannot eat a lot, tiny bowl of rice can make him full and he has to eat slowly.
Does it really work? Any side effects? If not, maybe I shud ask my DH to do it then as he's plumpy since a little kid. Now his mom is blaming me for not taking care of his precious son, although she's the one who didn't instill a healthy eating habbit into him during his childhood :x
(I should probably move this to the IL thread  ) -

It was quite hard for me to stop it esp. for DS as I knew I wouldn't have another chance to do that since I had decided to stop at 2 kids. I enjoyed the closeness w/ my babies and nothing can replace that kind of mother-child bonding
Actually, I love that warm closeness with the kid. Unbeatable!!toddles:
minnie,
i think it's ok. I'm still nursing my dd twice a day.
natural antibodies. cannot find anywhere else. size is relative lah. healthy is best.

sorry ah busymom, my memory's failing. Can't rem. the name of the thread. I tried searching for it but to no avail.
Really, what thread is that? Must go and read up.dimsum:
I read about this too....and I recalled in another thread, some mummies said their girls start having period really young (ate alot of chicken).
Is it only chicken, what about pork or other meat? Personally, I hardly eat chicken these days, even though it is white meat and supposedly more healthy...
apparently, poultry has higher level of those growth hormones injection as compared to cow/pigs.Busymom:
Just to share, I did some googling and this website categorises fish from highest mecury level to lowest mercury level. Hey, salmon is classified under lowest mecury level! Code fish is under lower mercury level.
Other fish like cod fish? I think pork should be ok, right?

This is consistent with the info i found from other websites too. Ok, will continue to feed him salmon.
My mum said threadfin fish (ngor fish) is good for young children. I am not sure why.

It's not kampong chicken, which I checked is in fact not exactly \"kampong\" (i.e. free-range). So I expect they're also raised the same way as the regular chicken.
Here's some info on sakura chicken: http://www.agri-biz.com/cocode-80020820-dirid-95-prodcode-80020820p1-prodname-SAKURA+CHICKEN-ProductDetails_MG.aspx
I think they use some special kind of chicken feed so the chicken don't get sick so easily hence no need to inject antibiotics. -

That was what I thought too. I remember big deep sea predator fish like shark and tuna tend to have higher mercury levels. So I was kind of surprised to hear salmon has high mercury as I believe most of the fresh salmon sold in the market is farmed.Just to share, I did some googling and this website categorises fish from highest mecury level to lowest mercury level. thanks for the info! Very happy to read \"No Growth Hormones, No Antibiotics\" from the weblink! Kampong chicken eggs are quite expensive! So mebe it's \"Less growth hormones, less antibiotics\"?

 sorry for being presumptuous. Hope he is alright after the operation. -

Never mind, thanks anyway.

Thanks for the link. Only thing is, the fish that we buy from the market, I actually don't know their name... :lol:Just to share, I did some googling and this website categorises fish from highest mecury level to lowest mercury level. Ngor fish - that was what my mom bought in the past too.
