Thanks for your help![/quote]Yeah she'll b in theatre. Not sure about computers but my dd said that one of the student guides during TA mentioned that they only need computers in year 3. But a daughter of a close personal friend uses a MacBook Air for her schoolwork when she started there in year 1. She's in year 2 VA now. You can ask the school I guess during orientation. Not so sure.

I thought there was a news update to reduce the intake of VA from 80 to 55 seats this year so to cater for Lit arts.......

The staff who called last Friday mentioned there will be a Tea session with the Principal on 14 Oct and he said details can be found on the letter that will be posted to us. Hope my memory didn't fail me

The VP also mentioned that there would be details on the 14th Oct parent-engagement session in the snail mail, but nothing in the snail mail either, except the CO!


Perhaps they will upload more info to the portal in due course.

Yeah the letter only mentions the Confirmed Offer and that the kids have to select SOTA when their PSLE are out end Oct in a form they’ll be given. No mention of anything else… I guess there’ll be more info at a later date?

Students with "Confirmed" Offers or who have been put on the "Waiting List" of a school will receive a School Preference Form from their respective primary schools on exact Day 24th Oct or earlier??

School Preference Form submission 24 Oct 2016 (9am) – 28 Oct 2016 (3pm). Oh no…we plan to be out of Singapore this period!

The school had said that the student must qualify for the express stream. However, what is the t-score for express, given that SOTA doesn’t actually offer express stream? Anybody knows?

Generally, for express stream the T-score is 200. Under is 'normal'. But it's always best to aim high and score above that I guess...
