              Hi,
I searched online and did not find the Macmillan guide. However, there is a free http://www.penguin.com/static/pdf/teachersguides/macbeth.pdfSignet Classic edition.

If that is not detailed enough, there is a http://store.doverpublications.com/0486475751.html from Dover, available as a paperback or eBook. The description says it \"..includes the unabridged text of Shakespeare's classic play plus a complete study guide that helps readers gain a thorough understanding of the work's content..\"

Also there is a http://www.ptraining.com/macbeth/ which \"..includes scene summaries, speech summaries, commentaries, and a glossary.\" (Description from http://www.glencoe.com/sec/literature/course/brlit/unit2/theme3/webresources/macbeth.shtml.)

              Hope that helps. 🙂

                Hi Nanns

Thank you for your help. It s much appreciated.

My son will be sitting the new 9-1 GCSEs, and the AQA one for Eng Lit. Hodder will publish the Shakespeare Eng lilt Guides, in conjunction with the Globe Theatre. Funnily enough, my wife and i watched Macbeth at the Globe last Friday evening. It was spectacular.

In relation to other books, I have since purchased a study guide and workbook by York Notes. It is http://www.yorknotes.com/revision-notes/gcse

                  Hi,

Can anyone advise on ways to improve a teenager’s sensitivity to the nuances of a poem and be able to read between the lines?

                  Thanks!

                    Hi PlayfulFairy,

Poets create poetry to convey strong emotions like sorrow, happiness and anger, etc.

                    Some tips:
                    - Read the text several times
                    - Identify the emotion and what the poet is trying to convey
                    - Spot the rhythm of the poem
                    - Find out more about the poet, his life and his/her likes and dislikes
                    - Research and learn about the different literary devices http://www.chaparralpoets.org/devices.pdf

These may help to improve your child's understanding of nuances.

Any of your kids happen to study the play \"Everything but the brain\" and have any notes or guide that you can share?

                      Thanks.

                        Hi

Are there websites with practice questions or test papers for IP literature (upper sec) ?
There seems to be limited resources in popular bookshop on IP literature or even O level literature.

Please recommend me some O level resource book titles if possible.

How can a child ace literature without tuition?
