Anyone here has lobang for soft copy of prelim 2016 paper? I just give to give DS a few more practice so not keen to purchase the full stack.

The P6 exam papers are out now. Many places are selling.

Happheart, my DS has a tendency of making lots of mistakes for sci MCQ too. I believe they don't read carefully and take it for granted as there are choices. This prelims he got 31/40 for sect B but only 46/60 for sect A. I saw his answers...really didn't make sense. He said they were careless mistakes himself. Every now and then he'll suffer a drop in grades due to his take it for granted attitude.

[/quote]Yes, kee kor. This is something that we want to help them but we cannot, right? I asked many people and most say this has to come from the child.
He lost 10 marks plainly for not reading the questions properly. Heartache 😢

Many of us here are very heartache that the kids are losing precious marks in MCQ sections.

If only they read the entire question and not jump to conclusions  and it's so true there is nothing much we can do. The urgency to want to do well must come from the kids themselves.
nag until mouth is dry, but result is still the same.

Totally agreed. Even for simple addition in the Maths question, my son can also make mistake like 200 + 326 = 426?!?!
Nag for 6 years already also didn't help... haha ...

even writing the first line of the math question can be careless :stompfeet:
                  units of measurement are missing.
now trying not to use correction tape...whew!

true true... another common one is transferring the number from workings to the next line, e.g 231 become 213

It is advisable not to use correction tape, not restricted.
So I will leave it to my DS... cos I do not want him to feel helpless without the correction tape and affect his performance.
