You are welcome phtthp. Just told my dd to practise her Fraction as part of Math revision. It’s been ages since we did Math revision. Careless mistakes like 6 / 3 = 3 appears for simplifying equivalent fraction. Not only that, the calculation speed for multiplication and division is much slower now. I have to help dd brush up on the accuracy and the speed of mental calculation for multiplication and division. Otherwise, miscalculation will be very costly careless mistakes for SA2 Math.

I noticed dd1 has changed her method used for the multiplication. She is using those like taught in ‘songs’ one…which i find slower. Eg. 6x7…she will go by 1x7, 2x7 …6x7…i asked her why like that already (it should ve 6x7=42, not from beginning mah)… and she says it is easier. I could only think probably due to lesser practice cant get ans out straightaway.

Yes careless mistakes..redo can do one. Told her such a waste those marks if in exam. Dont know then no choice, know but got it wrong., exam is not a test of speed., need all these marks to help other subjects. But already have lots of improvement lor compared to P2..that time faint and vomit blood.

This is good. In my DD1 class, they are still seated in group of 5 or 6. What make the matter worse is the teachers always put the more well behaved ones in the last 2 rows. Front rows are reserved for the naughty and noisy boys! Being naughty has special privilege. I really cannot understand the rationale. Why penalized the good students. Naughty students should be made to stand outside the class if they are beyond control and distracting the rest! My DD1 (I mean not just her but a few others too) is really poor thing as she is petite size and gets block by those bigger build students in front.
