once the paper is over, there is really no point to discuss the questions and answers.agreed....once paper is over, I do not wish to know how my child did, I am only interested to know that DD did her best!
DD has been enjoying herself with friends' dates since yesterday! -
Agree. Really thankful for those videos clips. Learning is a never ending journey, one should not learn for psle only. I encourage my child to search for the correct answers/solutions and not repeat the same mistakes again.

I believe DD did her best but am still curious to know how she did. DD however does not want to talk about it. She is simply Glad that it is over! :rahrah:agreed....once paper is over, I do not wish to know how my child did, I am only interested to know that DD did her best!

I mean to say I agree with Morinosuke

IP school will be rather tough for a child who has 240-250 score. The syllabus is different from O level track and there are many projects to do. My friend has 2 children-one did very well to enter IP but she regretted allowing her daughter to take IP as the child has no life. Her other child did very well but took the o level track. There is more breathing space and not as pressurizing.
If based on PSLE T-score merit : the lowest, minimum T-score required is around 252, although majority of IP schools' standard require at least minimum 255 & above.
Hence, if a child only score 240 to 250 -
no way can they possibly qualify for IP curriculum, if enter by T-score route. Most have to study O level, unless ...
The only exception is - they have already accepted a DSA offer.
However, there are Some parents / P6xers in dilemma, if suppose their child just touch the Cut off point exactly : say, just touch the low end of 25X, but still qualify for an IP school.
Since is at low end of 25x, not high end, they are not sure -
Is it Better to remain in O level, or take the IP program, which they just touch and do qualify, after all ? -

As a first-time \"PSLE mum\" I am totaly stunned that people are actually producing videos about the answers to the exam questions. What's done is done. let's move on. We are just torturing ourselves.
Perhaps such videos are meant for 2017 PSLE parents n students? I am sure they are keen to find out so they can prepare themselves for next year?
2016 parents and students don't need to open the links - just ignore. -
The video(s) compiled :
are useful to 2017, 2018, 2019 subsequent batch of students taking psle, born after 2004.
Can just ignore them, if not applicable -

Totally agree.I was all amazed and equally shocked to see so many questions being discussed here. Once each paper was over, no point talking about it and crying over spilt milk and affecting the concentration of the next paper! I told dd after this PSLE episode, she'd have grown up a bit more and matured a bit more. The PSLE is not all about academic development, more importantly, a journey to getting to know herself more and developing her emotional maturity.
once the paper is over, there is really no point to discuss the questions and answers.Imp75:

Anyways, well done to all P6s! It is definitely a big milestone and I am sure everyone did great, no matter what the T scores are.

i am planning to celebrate daughter’s 12th birthday which falls on nov 26 and i believe the results would have been released by then.
we don’t know what type of questions the psle exams will have. i was worried sick on the last day of her psle and i will panic towards the few days when the results will be released. i can only hope for the best.
now i must tell myself that psle is her first major exam and there will be more to come. so we should celebrate the effort put in and crossing her first milestone. -
There are times when I wondered if life would be better if my kids could score well without much work but then concluded that such a life will probably have it’s difficulties. It’s more important to me that my kids learn no hard work no gain, and that going by it the easy/lazy way may well cost them dear when they are older.
So true to say, whatever the results, celebrate the passing of rites (ie transition to sec school). Good results, bad results, it will all fade in future. Life is too long to get hung up over one exam.
Janet, wishing your dd a very happy birthday in advance!
