      Hi all,

Here is the video from Mindstretcher on psle science questions n answers.

As a first-time \"PSLE mum\" I am totaly stunned that people are actually producing videos about the answers to the exam questions. What's done is done. let's move on. We are just torturing ourselves.

agreed…once paper is over, I do not wish to know how my child did, I am only interested to know that DD did her best!

DD has been enjoying herself with friends’ dates since yesterday!

For my DD, she appreciates these videos as she's always curious to learn new stuff and just wish to bring to a closure the question that is stuck in her mind, especially because she loves Science as a subject. So pre or post-PSLE, I will still entertain her questions.

once the paper is over, there is really no point to discuss the questions and answers.

Agree. Really thankful for those videos clips. Learning is a never ending journey, one should not learn for psle only. I encourage my child to search for the correct answers/solutions and not repeat the same mistakes again.

I believe DD did her best but am still curious to know how she did. DD however does not want to talk about it. She is simply Glad that it is over! :rahrah:

IP school will be rather tough for a child who has 240-250 score. The syllabus is different from O level track and there are many projects to do. My friend has 2 children-one did very well to enter IP but she regretted allowing her daughter to take IP as the child has no life. Her other child did very well but took the o level track. There is more breathing space and not as pressurizing.

If based on PSLE T-score merit : the lowest, minimum T-score required is around 252, although majority of IP schools' standard require at least minimum 255 & above.

Hence, if a child only score 240 to 250 -
no way can they possibly qualify for IP curriculum, if enter by T-score route. Most have to study O level, unless ...
The only exception is - they have already accepted a DSA offer.

However, there are Some parents / P6xers in dilemma, if suppose their child just touch the Cut off point exactly : say, just touch the low end of 25X, but still qualify for an IP school.
Since is at low end of 25x, not high end, they are not sure -
Is it Better to remain in O level, or take the IP program, which they just touch and do qualify, after all ?

Perhaps such videos are meant for 2017 PSLE parents n students? I am sure they are keen to find out so they can prepare themselves for next year?

2016 parents and students don't need to open the links - just ignore.
