24 sheep and hens are grazing in a field.These animals have a total of 70 legs. Find the number of sheep in the field.
Assume all animals are hens , hens = 24 , total no of legs = 24*2 = 48
the difference of legs between actual and assumption = 70 - 48 = 22
the difference of legs between 1 sheep and 1 hen = 2
the number of sheep = 22 / 2 = 11 -
