Oh I didn't realise. dd2 said her p6 compre format is still the same as dd1's p6 compre 2 year ago. Maybe only for gep :scratchhead: For prelim she said format is different.

I just went to ask her like a minute ago. This mummy 后知后觉 😂
GEP and non-GEP sit the same PSLE.

Afraid I do not read Chinese.

It is good to speak to daughters, but one should take what they say with a pinch of salt. 😂

I believe I was trying to be humorous. Hopefully, light-hearted humour is not off-topic.

Hi, if I may share my experience... It is true tt GEP uses their own EL materials from P4 to P6 mid-year. They only begin to adhere to PSLE formats from P6 mid-year onwards. Likewise, my dc, who was e pioneer batch for the new EL paper 2 format, never practised it until a few months prior to PSLE. To them (& me), the new format is really much easier than their daily work. As for papers 1 & 3, they tend to study the new formats way ahead of their non-GEP peers.[/quote]Hi sky minecrafter.
Thanks, that's very interesting and provides context.

Do you think that GEPers use their own materials till mid-year because they are focused on preparation for DSA tests? Once the DSA tests are over, they then switch to focus on the PSLE format?

For a moment I thought I'm supposed to believe that I don't have any sense of humor
because I did not take my dd's words with a pinch of salt 😓

If I try to be humorous and fail, then the fault is entirely mine, not yours. No need for sarcasm.

Oh I didn't realise. dd2 said her p6 compre format is pretty much the same as dd1's p6 compre 2 year ago. At least no significant difference in format as far as she could recall. Maybe only for gep paper :scratchhead: That was some months ago in May. She could still make reference to her sister's old syllabus English notes

For prelim she said format is different. They did a lot of practice papers in class so they are familiar with the new format as well. Have to prepare for psle

Actually I agreed with this. Or perhaps the change is minute. Because my dd who is now in Sec 1 is coaching her twin bro did mentioned that there is not much change. Same for the Chinese as well. It's just marks reallocation.
