    How do I teach a P1 kid on multiplication for maths

          There is no way to avoid memorising as that's the best way to have quick recall. But during the learning process, there can be ways to help the facts stick. I can't remember how my husband helped my daughter when she was having a lot of problems learning the multiplication tables. I'll ask him (and her) and post again later.

                I was flipping through some books at Popular and if I’m not wrong multiplication only taught in P2. Was I mistaken?? My son going to P1 next year. Is there a difference between the textbooks and what they actually learn in school?

                  yep , multiplication starts in P2, table 2 to 6 & 10 for my child's sch

                  i think P1 teaches on groupings, grp of 2 , 3, 4, 6 ,8 etc first step to multiplications.
