      Hi Ymy

The K2 materials contains Oral component which I like very much. Doing home revision helps to reinforce what the K2 children are learning in Tien Hsia class.

For me, I’m going to work on the Show & Tell part and the pictorial description part.

Time is so limited but just try my best to revise.

Yes. I also like oral components part. It will help when they have oral- picture description in primary.I realize that my DD now in P3 sometimes has problem in describing the picture. It is good to build good foundation from young. I should have done more with my DD when she is younger. Hope it is not too late now.

The K2 Spelling list is challenging indeed.

          听写单 (二)

          1) 牛比羊大。

          2)她一边洗衣,一边唱歌。

          3)我先洗手,才吃木瓜。

My child told me the previous spelling, she had to write fast, or else teacher will not wait and move on to next one.

Good! This is good preparatory practice. Otherwise my child think she can take her own sweet time.

According to research, children who acquire a second language like Mother Tongue Language will develop greater focus and develop their concentration skills to a higher extent than their friends who communicate only in one language. Children who learn both English and Mother Tongue Language before the age of eight have a greater chance at acquiring both languages at a higher level than their friends who start later. I’m glad I started my child in Tien Hsia when she was in Nursery and she has grown to enjoy Mother Tongue Language activities and express her enjoyment in many ways at her current level, K2 now.

It was the right decision to place my child in Tien Hsia to develop her speaking skills and lay the foundation for her to understand how oral language and print complement each other. Tien Hsia has helped my child to develop her speaking skill which is critical in her later development of both reading comprehension and writing skills. I’m thankful to get a good teacher who provides adequate guidance and help to scaffold my child’s learning.

Enrichment class covers paper 2… Textbk-based

                      Writing class covers solely writing.

Huang Yue Lao Shi has been transferred to Marine Parade Tien Hsia with effect from Term 3 due to her relocation from North to East. Parents should grab hold of this gem teacher in Marine Parade Tien Hsia as she is well-liked by children.
